About Eamon

Self-described “ho-hop” singer and songwriter Eamon scored a global hit with his profanity-laced 2003 single “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back).” • The son of a Staten Island doo-wop singer, Eamon grew up loving everything from Frankie Lymon and Frank Sinatra to hip-hop. • When he was 16, he wrote “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back),” a kissoff to an unfaithful girlfriend. Eamon sent the track to the New York radio station Hot 97, which began playing it on the air. • He soon signed with Jive Records, and “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back)” became a runaway hit, going Top 20 in America and reaching No. 1 in countries across Europe, including the UK. The album I Don’t Want You Back went Top 10 in America and was certified gold. • Eamon described his “ho-hop” sound as “a flavor of hip-hop, a flavor of doo-wop, and ho’s." • “F**k It (I Don’t Want You Back)” inspired a response track, “F.U.R.B. (F**k You Right Back),” by fellow Staten Island singer Frankee. • Eamon’s 2006 sophomore album, Love & Pain, missed the charts and failed to produce any hit singles. • After years of personal troubles and legal issues with record labels, Eamon returned in 2017 with the album Golden Rail Motel.
