- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2016This is a good live collection...and probably a bit overdue. Too many Night Ranger live albums have been recorded in Japan. And I love "24 Strings And A Drummer"; but let's face it: Night Ranger is an American Rock band and they're at their best when they're plugged in, rocking, and playing in America!
The video is good quality and certainly their best since the video that came out for their "7 Wishes" tour; though I personally would've lit the stage a little differently and edited the video a little differently.
This has all their hits on it and even includes some newer stuff, ("Growin' Up In California" and "High Road"). I would've liked "Knock, Knock Never Stop" to have been in the set and would've traded out "Growin' Up In California' for "Lay It On Me". But the real nice surprise is that thos collection includes "Day+Night" - a NEW song from their forthcoming, (at the time of the writing of this review), album! I loved it from the first time I heard it. Great guitar work, great bass and overall just a fantastic song.
The only real disappointment for me was that I was hoping to finally have the recent live version of "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" on CD to listen to in the car. I see Night Ranger live three to six times a year, (one year recently, I saw them 11 times); and they usually weave The Eagles' "Hotel California" and Deep Purple's "Highway Star" into "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" and I love it! I've even heard them do some Roadhouse Blues, (Kelly played on a Doors tribute band), some Crazy Train, (Brad played for Ozzy), and School's Out, (Keri played for Alice Cooper). But at the very least, I was hoping for a taste of the version of "Don't Tell Me You Love Me" that has been at most live shows in recent years. I was disappointed to find that they did not weave in the snippets from the Eagles and Deep Purple songs mid-'Don't Tell Me You Love Me' on this collection that I have grown to love so much. Maybe it is a licensing thing. Maybe they wanted it to be a Noght Ranger concert without talking about their influences. I don't know. But I sure wish it was there.
I know, despite giving it five stars, I've kind of listed some of what bugs me. But the bottom line is that Night Ranger is among the best live bands ever and certainly one of the best live bands still touring today. They are in their element live. They're high energy and a tight knit group. This is an excellent live album/video - well recorded and fun - and you can't beat the price for this set! You get two live CDs, you get all their classic hits, you get a sneak peek at their latest work and you get a DVD of all of it!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2016You can never go wrong with Night Ranger, one of the most underappreciated bands of our time. Unfortunately, I never saw them at the height of their careers, but by listening to and watching this latest release, these guys still rock hard and put on a great show. I have managed to see them live twice in the past couple of years and the set was pretty similar to this performance, although they do a crazy train medley at some of their shows that would've been great on here. But really, what's not to love? The show is full of all of the hits, a few newer tracks that have been released recently. Im not going to do a song by song breakdown, but if you enjoy good old fashioned hard rock from a band that has the energy of a band many years younger, and who actually look like they are still enjoying themselves, pick this one up NOW! Please catch them on tour while you can,....a guaranteed good time.

Images in this review - Reviewed in the United States on January 2, 2017It needs no review really. Night Ranger classic songs and they all sound great. Yes, they are getting older but so am I. What is amazing is how great they still sound. Jack and Kelly have top notch voices and the harmonic guitar playing is still pure bliss. By the end of the CDs or the DVD, you will want to keep listening. While I like every song on this set, I do wish they would have put a few more newer songs on the CD. The two that are missing, in my opinion, are "St. Bartholomew" and "Say it with love". "St. Bartholomew" would be a great opener since they have been opening with Midnight Madness for so many years. "Say it with love" would be a great closer. But really, for their primary fan base that wants to hear only the hits, this is a great CD.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 21, 2017This is a fantastic show shot in a beautiful auditorium. The setlist is awesome in that it spans the band's entire 35 year career. The band sounds great and it is obvious they are having fun. The video and production are top notch. If you like Night Ranger and have never seen them live, this is a great show to see. It is nice to see that they are Still Rocking in America and the rest of the world for that matter. Pick this up and turn it up loud.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 15, 2017Sounds great but whoever edited the DVD must have drank a case of Red Bull beforehand. If you're epileptic you may want to avoid this DVD since they change camera angles ever 2 seconds. I think the best tracks are Eddie, Don't Tell Me Ya Love Me, and Night Ranger. But I will say that the one 'new' track, Night and Day, sounds pretty damn good. Brad Gillis doesn't age, still looks and sounds like he did in the 80's. Overall, a great show and a must for any Night Ranger fan.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 29, 2020A very nice recording. I hadn't heard NR in a long time, so it was good to hear them again and know that they still sound good. I wish that "7 Wishes" wasn't just a bonus on the DVD.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 28, 2016The boys from California didn't disappoint once again. Still rockin and getting even better. From Sing Me Away to High Road and even a new song thrown in. I loved it. Jack, Kelly, Brad, Eric and new guitarist Keri ( who is the best 2nd lead since Jeff Watson) really rocked it for this DVD. Can't wait to see them live again next summer. So keep it up, keep it up, keep it waaay up!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2016This is a fantastic live set from the boys in Night Ranger. It covers their 35 year carrier and even includes a kick butt new song called Night & Day. This album & DVD kick major butt and should be bought by anyone that's a fan of the band like I am.

5.0 out of 5 stars Genialer Livemitschnitt einer leider unterbewerteten Band
Klasse!

Awesome DVD. Wasn't a huge Night Ranger fan. Since watching the DVD I am a bigger fan. Wish I had gone to a concert of theirs. Money well spent. Good addition to my collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent !
